With syslog (on my old mandrake box) I could use the -a switch to provide a log device in the name-servers jail, but how do I do this with metalog?
As far as I can tell, metalog doesn't have a similar switch, so is there any other way of achieving the same thing? |

Hi,
I dunno if metalog can do this, but it should be possible to just make a hard link to the log fifo in /dev from your /dev/log in the jail. This only works if both are on the same file system. But then again it may well be that devfs doesn't allow for this...
Maybe worth a try.
Cheers,
