Hi,

since a few hours I have had a problem with my mouse. Sometimes when I click somewhere it does a doubleclick. I do not know how to solve this. Really annoying and dangerous within my diploma-thesis which I am working on.
Restart does not help.
Anybody had a similar problem already? And knows how to solve it?

Regards

blauenuss

I've had this problem on some motherboards with USB mice. Disabled APIC in the BIOS and it fixed it. From what I've read there are some motherboards with buggy APIC support out there. I've even had a couple times where disabling this has solved problems with systems lockups. If replacing the mouse works that might be a preferable solution as enabling the APIC is generally a good thing.

my mouse did the same thing and I got a new one. Some mice just do that after a while, I guess.

my logitech mx310 started this after 7month of usage, while my dirt cheap noname mouse works for years now.

The crappy microswitch below the left button was defective - not much someone can do about it. I learned my lesson and will never buy logitech again ....
