|
|
Ok, i got the winex 3.3.2 source tree from cvs, configured and compiled it (with make depend && make), and now I have the code.
Is there some way to make the .tar.gz or .tar.bz that the ebuild requires to be in distfiles so I can just "emerge winex"?
I'm sure that there is some packager script somewhere, I just can't find it
If this can be done, I will make a nice howto and post it in tips and tricks. |

If it were like, 30$, and then get updates forever, I would be all down for it.
Unfortunately, paying monthly is out of the question. There are some months when bills will eat everything, and even 5$ wouldn't be doable. Plus I'm not a big fan of subscription based programs (hence I don't play mmo's either) |

There is an ebuild for winex-cvs 3.2 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34237
Would it be possible for someone to make a new ebuild using this one as a reference?
Also there are some scripts - http://ting.homeunix.org/cvs_wine/GetWineXscripts.html _________________ kernel 4.15.17-1-equk | i3wm | github |

The ebuild in portage is fake, there is nothing in it. I wonder if the GetWineX script could be modified into an ebuild. That, would be interesting. For now though, getwinexcvs is working great for Steam, without a hitch actually.
If I find 3.3.2 can run the other games I have been unable to get running (starcraft, total annihilation, maybe some others), then I may subscribe to it. |
