[list][*] Rage Against The Machine - Evil Empire | I could never get into them. They have like 2 riffs, and they both sound pretty much the same. | Curious wrote: | | [*] Everclear - So Much for the Afterglow | This album is actually very underrated. Much better than their earlier more popular fluff. | kanuslupus wrote: | Whoa Nellie! I agree. My copy of SMFtA is a prerelease review copy [1], and I've never seen it lurking around the store shelves - although a lot of their other stuff seems to be. There's a certain mood I get into where I want to listen to Everclear / Weezer / Ween [2]. It's good for that.
As for the comment about RATM, that's fair enough. It's definitely not to everyones taste. I tend to listen to it mixed with Bush tracks.

[1] It has printed on the disc: "LICENSED FOR PROMOTIONAL USE, NOT A SALE: This CD cannot be transferred without the consent of the record company, use or retention of this CD signifies acceptance of this license." It was still Shrinkwrapped when I got it too - no idea that it was a promo.
[2] Latter day Ween. Think "Beacon Light" vs. "Waving My Dick In The Wind". Although a lot of their earlier stuff is good fun too. _________________ Are you down with the Hawk? |

Woah - if I'm ever around, let me know when you're about to do that sort of thing and I'll keep my distance.

I have a TMBG "Live in New York" CD with a similar "license". It basically means you shouldn't have ever seen it unless you're k-rad. _________________ "An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish. Hence the difficulty of forcing anything into an empty head."

I picked up some CD's from Hum on King last night: Weens "White Pepper" and Weezers "Green Album" ( Because I've been listening to Mp3's of "Island in the Sun" ).
So far it's a very one sided match-up, Ween is knocking Weezer 'out the box'. If anyone else has this CD, do they think the Marimba line in 'Banana's And Blow' is lifted straight from 'The Curse of Monkey Island'?

Ween's "White Pepper" again. This album improves upon an already excellent vibe with repeated listening.

Man or Astro-man - Project Infinity
For those that never heard of Man or Astroman, I'd suggest giving a listen. Ultimately just surf rock, but so much more... |
