Hi folks,
I am unable to start KDE. Here are the error messages:

Have you set your hostname up properly? You should be able to check by seeing what's in /etc/hostname, typing "hostname", or "uname -n". _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Does the user that you are trying have a valid writeable home directory? |

Hostname on the machine is set up properly and also, I am trying to start KDE as root , so, yes on the writeable home directory question |
