Alcatel USB ADSL Modem

I have no idea how to get it setup. It connects via USB not to the NIC so it won't run on Eth0.
I can't find any docs on this.
I can boot from the livecd and no more.

In the french FAQ it says that there are scripts on the 1.4 cd that will set it up automatically. I have no idea where they are.
Any ideas?
