No sound when starting KDE whith KDM

Hello,

I'm using Gentoo 1.4 rc1 on an Armada E500.
Sound is loaded via modules: soundcore and maestro.

I'm able to start KDE with gdm and the sounds works like a charm.
But if I try to start KDE with kdm, I can't hear any sound.

Can anybody help me to figure out why the sound doesn't work when starting with kdm ?

Try to check if artsd is loaded when you login via kdm.
