No. I think its not free
But I've downloaded and emerged 4.5 already to test it once
And vmware stille rules on the virtual machine segment.....

Its funny, I do recognise the logo and the name serenity, but I don't recall it being a VM, My memory is going! I didn't see the article on osnews.com either, and I usually look at that site most days ...
Only thing is it uses QT
I haven't read the whole article yet, but I can't tell whether it will be free or not or whether it'll support native amd64 anytime soon.
