Hi everyone.
I've emerged firefox-bin under my normal 64bit environment, so I'm able to watch Flash animations with the 32bit netscape-flash ebuild.
But now.. i've installed blackdown java but i'm not getting java pages to work. What should i do? |

Do you have the 64-bit or the 32-bit version of java installed? As far as I am aware the firebox-bin wants the 32-bit version of java.
I have Mozilla running in 64-bit with a 64-bit java (blackdown) and it works fine... Although I obviously don't have flash!

Ok, I have an all 64-bit enviroment (so far) and all that is left (more or less, as to fixing antialiased fonts under KDE-3.2.1 ) is to emerge mozilla with java and flash in 32-bit. How do I do that? The doc's say I can compile with -m32 but that I should not do it using emerge; how do you guys do it? I have installed the suggested emul-libs and recompiled gcc with multilib on, now what? _________________ Always make it as simple as possible, but no simpler

Code: | $ ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge mozilla-firefox-bin
$ ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" emerge netscape-flash | True, you're not supposed to do ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" but I don't know of any other way of doing that short of modifying the ebuild itself. You might also need to steal a libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 from some redhat box and plunk it under /lib32, gflashplayer/flashplugin doesn't like gentoo's for no apparent reason. ( I plunked it down in /var/lib/misc/redhat_libstdc++.so and symlinked it so I don't get it mixed in with the rest). _________________ Petition for Better 64-bit ATI Drivers - Sign Here
