I recently upgraded to Jaguar(10.2), after I did this the boot screen that asks which partition you want to boot does not show up. Instead there is a grey screen with an apple in the middle.
Anyone have a similar problem? How do I get my yaboot screen back? |

| I would think the easiest way would be to boot from the gentoo cd again. refer to the install guide; mount up your disc partitions (at least the ones containing /etc, /boot, and maybe /usr), chroot, and follow the install guide for installing yaboot. at least this time you don't have to write a yaboot.conf file, you already have one in /etc. |

You can also boot holding down command-option-OF into Open Firmware, and try to boot Gentoo out of OF, but zojas' way is probably easier. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

All you have to do is hold down command + option + OF to get to the Open Firmware prompt. Then use this command:
setenv boot-device hd:X,\\:tbxi
X is the boot partition you already set up.
Then use "mac-boot" to boot into that partition.

| I just reset my OpenFirmware and everything was better, my boootstrap partition is my 2nd partition on the disk. |

Thanks,
I ended up using intastella's way and everything is back up and running. |
