Wow, this is fantastic. I installed this because liquid widgets had wiped out my normal splash graphics ( grrr ), but this takes the biscuit. I installed it and its theme pack, and it looks great!
Note however, you'll have to do at least this or something similar to get it working in kde3 though...
Code: |
bash-2.05a# cd /usr/kde/3/bin/
bash-2.05a# mv ksplash ksplash.preml
bash-2.05a# ln -s /usr/bin/ksplash
bash-2.05a# ln -s /usr/bin/ksecho
bash-2.05a# cd /usr/kde/3/share/applnk/Settings/LookNFeel/
bash-2.05a# ln -s /usr/share/applnk/Settings/LookNFeel/ksplash.desktop
|
Hope I didn't miss anything! But trust me, it's worth it!
Should I file a bug on the ebuild regarding package location, or is this by design?

Indeed, this is really absolutely cool. And thanx a lot for the info - because that was exactly what I have been looking for!
(Just emerged ksplash-ml, had a look at the beatiful screenshots at the homepage and was searching docs and web all the time where I was supposed to configure themes...)
This is definitely a candidate for a bugreport if you'd ask me! |
