I am stuck. I have been using love kernels for a couple of months and really like them except I cant get my CanoScan USB to work.
I recently tried ck2 sources and WOW , the scanner works! Only pb is I now have no sound.
The kernel configs are as identical as I can get them, and the rest of the system does not chamge inbetween boots so it must be kernel differnces.
Can anyone help me sort out one or the other so that I have a fully usable system.
Both kernels seem damn good, except to these sticking points.
I find ck2 has less hesitation on the mouse when working hard (big emerges) but task switching is lot less frequent. (I have seen an ebuild stopped for a couple of minutes when there are 2 or 3 running at the same time.)
In short they are both good and I will go with the one I get working fully.
