Guys, I am having problems listening to my favorite internet radio station.
It seems to work for most people (actually anybody except me). Can you try if it works for you?

Go to www.radioparadise.com and try "128k MP3 (best sound)" link (first link on the left) and post results.

I can listen to lower quality links (64k, 32k, etc) but not the 128 one.
I have xmms-1.2.10-r1.

Thanks.

BTW, it is nice radio to listen to doing some coding.

Can you run iTunes on Linux?
Can you try with xmms (if you have it installed?) It may be that this is xmms issue.
Thanks

Works fine with xmms. You have to open that m3u file with it. You can tell the web browser to pass all m3u files to xmms, too.

Strange results. Perhaps it depends on location?

Similar result here: 404 error. The 64K link works, though.

Thats odd....

Works for me in iTunes perfectly and I get a 404 in XMMS. (from both clicking and saving the m3u file and opening it)

Great,
with this I finally solved it. It is xmms problem. Enabling "SHOUT/Icecast title streaming" in cofiguration of MPEG player plugin fixed the problem.

Thanks everybody for help.

I had the same problem with previewing mp3 files before buy on "www.allofmp3.com".
I checked with the radio mentioned here too... This was not working before I changed the settings :

The solution was to disable the "MAD MPEG Decoder plugin 0.8 ..."

Regards,

This has been driving me crazy for months. Disabling the "MAD MPEG Decoder plugin" fixed it. Thanks!

I also encountered the problem that an 128kb mp3 stream worked perfectly in mplayer but not in xmms.
But this solved the problem! Thanks!
