I'm sure you've all read posts like this before, but I haven't found any answers in previous posts. I need help setting up sound. The way everyone in #gentoo-ppc have described it, it seems like a simple process; load or compile in the appropriate modules, enter user in audio group, set permissions on sound and mixer devices, check the mixer settings and listen. This has not worked for me. I don't know why. I've rebuilt my kernel twice, which didn't help. Any help would be appreciated.
