If you do an emerge -s lib-compat does it list it as installed? On my system (ver. 2.0.38), the bug seems to be with -S not finding it as installed. Code: | # emerge -S libc5
Searching...

* sys-libs/lib-compat-1.0-r2

# emerge -s lib-compat

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.
Calculating dependencies ...done!

I haven't checked searching for lib-compat instead of libc5, if that's what you want me to do. But re-emergeing it solved it for _this_ ebuild, I'm not sure about others. Do you reckon someone should post a bug report ?? I guess the bug is something to do with how the list of installed packages get's called or something like that. |
