I just wanted to let everyone know that I experienced a problem with postfix, postfix-1.1.11-20020822.tar.gz, after performing an emerge -u world.
I was receiving a "postfix/postsuper[1220]: fatal: scan_dir_push: open directory hold: No such file or directory" and "postfix/postfix-script: fatal: Postfix integrity check failed!"
It appears that when postfix was updated /usr/spool/postfix/hold did not get created. I had to manually create /usr/spool/postfix/hold and "chown postfix /usr/spool/postfix/hold" to get postfix to start.
Just thought I'd throw that out there for reference. |

I think you mean /var/spool/postfix/hold
