I am goning to try to install Gentoo on one of the SunFire v240 servers we have today via management console so wish me luck! |

Network works fine.
PGX64 is working in Xorg but has a few graphical glitches in KDE
All USB devices inc mouse keyb are fine also
Sound doesn't work but I have not tried to get it to work cause I don't need it at work - but if anyone knows how to configure that sound card then gimmie a shout |

HELP...
Ok so now that is out of the way..
I am trying to install the Gentoo 2.4 livecd version on a SunBlade 150 that I have and am running into some issues:
I can start the install and get the network up and working (modprobe 8390) and start up sshd. The issues that I am having is when I try and fdisk (yes I left /dev/hda3) the box seems to lock up. I have also gotten past that step and mke2fs and able to mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/gentoo but when I try and untar the stage3 file it locks up on me again..
Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? |

Are you using the original hard drive in this box? I know there are size-related IDE issues with some sparcs and some versions of OBP. Is there an update for your OBP you can install?
