|
|
I've used both koffice1.2_rc1 and 1.2final. Both have the same problem with the connector tool in kivio not working.
I've seen this problem before in pre 1.1 versions of koffice, but understood it to be fixed
http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=98872179827658&w=2
Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

I've seen threads on the fact that emerge can't use patches which you've downloaded locally.
I updated Bart Verwilst (who is listed as the Koffice contact for ebuilds on the gentoo site) and can only sit back and hope it makes it into a newer version of Koffice. The bizarre thing is my Mandrake 9.0 installation is obviously built from a slightly later CVS tree as it includes this fix but is still version 1.2
Btw the patch came out after the Gentoo Koffice 1.2 ebuild. |

For me the gentoo ebuild just didn't work. It would look like it worked but none of the apps would execute. So a few hours ago I downloaded the tarbal from kde.org and installed I guess the tarball I downloaded didn't have the patch. I'm just confused on how to apply the patch from that page to my source..... _________________ 01001010 01010100 01001000 01001010 |

You can use the patch program (read the man file) which is normally patch -p0 originalfile patchfile. Or in this case you can find the file
koffice/kivio/plugins/kivioconnectortool/straight_connector/Makefile.am
from the tarball and add the line
libdir = $(kde_datadir)/kivio/autoloadStencils
above the line that reads
lib_LTLIBRARIES =libstraight_connector.la
And then make koffice as usual.
Hope this helps
