Kernel 2.6.3-r2. VM Ware 4.5.1 build 7568 installed fine. Ran the config.pl all good. Got the guest OS installed fine(win2k) win2k sees NIC (AMD PCI net) An IP is assigned statically. But I cant connect to anything. There are no errors anywhere. I cant ping my gateway. its using a custom net device /dev/vmnet0. No matter how i select the guest OS to connect, it wont. I just want it to have its own IP on the network. Bridged I guess. lsmod shows vmmon and vmnet loaded. /dev/vmnet0-9 exist. I have rebooted also. Any one know what 's going on? _________________ The Fueley

Don't know why, but i just had to rerun the vmware-config.pl and it came up fine this time. Didn't do anything different this time. Maybe cause of my kernel? _________________ The Fueley
