i have some problem, first one, i have no sound:

In MenuConfig the "intel" card already was -and i puted in "M: ...........i still, i dont have sound.
Shoul i use the emerge alsa-driver?? -its more complicated said the manual in gentoo page-
My other problem is: i emerged VLC player, all fine. But when i try to open it i wont, i mean, i click on VLC and a little sand clock appears, and a minimized window of VLC multimedia appears down in the scren, but after a while it dissappear. It dont load. What is happening??

| Did you try unmuting all channels with alsamixer yet? Or better, did you follow the Gentoo ALSA configuration guide? |

Yes i followed the guide, there were 2 ways of intalling the ALSA...........i followed the first one -the less complicated-............there is another -little more complicated- with emerge alsa-drivers -if i not remember bad-
How i do alsamixer??
and did you have a clue of what happens with VLC??

For alsamixer you must
and then do
For VLC sorry I don't know, did you compiled it with the wxwindows use flag ?
Try to launch it from a terminal and see the output. |

Well, that was it, the alsamixer -i did not know, sorry-

About VLC i did:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-gentoo.html
i mean, create this archives: /etc/portage/package.keywords (and added: media-video/vlc ~x86)
and this other archive: /etc/portage/package.use (and added: media-video/vlc dvd ffmpeg mpeg mad wxwindows aac dts a52 ogg flac theora oggvorbis matroska freetype bidi xv svga gnutls stream vlm httpd cdda vcd cdio live )
Still i does not work.
