|
|
Ok, I have this working but I think I may have spotted a problem.
On my x86 system prelink is fairly clean and worked first time, however on AMD64, it Aborted/Core dumped pretty quickly.
After playing around, it looks like it's trying to prelink something it can't (as a resulf of the -f = force) and crashing.
Removing the -f flag and doing;
prelink -avmR (for example)
Works Ok .. however I'm guessing this will mean that instead of doing a nightly prelink -amRf, I'm first going to have to do a prelink -au to emulate the (-f) option.
Is this a known issue, or is it just me ? |

| I don't know how it's now, but I had the same problem when I tried to prelink my system ~1 month ago. I don't really know if the -f flag is needed. Maybe if it's not, we can try to get this solution into the amd64 documentation, but if it is, then reporting a bug would be good. |
