I searched the web and the forums for an answer to this, and i should know this, but i don't. I should be able to start an x server on computer A, and from computer B start a window manager, so that i see the computer B desktop on computer A. Is this correct? What are the steps that i need to do to make this happen?
I can telnet to computer B and do:
$ xterm -display computerA:0.0
and an xterm will show up. I'd like to do that with the whole desktop if possible. Any ideas?
While I'm asking remote X related questions, does anyone know of a good mp3 player that uses the -display option to display on another x server, or any way to be used remotely, with the functionality of xmms? I tried every combination I could think of with xmms, but i can't get it to display on another x server. Any ideas on that one?
Thanks SO MUCH in advance...

After telneting to computer B instead of xterm -display computerA0:0 try startkde -display computerA0:0
if you dont have kde installed, use whatever command for the WM you want. |
