winex and gentoo

Just a heads up, i have EverQuest running under WineX 3.3 on gentoo
i am using the current devel kernel 2.6, with the gentoo nvidia drivers,
i started this install on monday... used the 2004.0 livecd to start the install
(first time messing with gentoo, thank brell i had done an LFS install before)

# emerge development-sources
# cd /usr/src/linux
# make mrproper
# make xconfig
(i turned on devfsd support)

# make bzImage modules modules_install
# make install

# emerge nvidia-kernel
# emerge nvidia-glx

(after downloading the winex files and sticking them in /usr/portage/distfiles)

# emerge transgaming-winex
# emerge transgaming-fonts
# emerge fontconfig
# emerge freetype

(*note* make install did not update grub, and the message after running make install was cut off)

nvidia geforce 4 ti 4200 128mb vid card
cpu is an intel p3 933, 768 mb ram
mb is an asus tuv4x

just got it running last night, have not done any stress testing on it, appears to have faster frame rate than the identical hardware in winxp

i did not tweak my .transgaming/config at ALL
my XFree86Config was build using XFree86 -configure

yes it did, however, i am no longer running gentoo on my eq machine, i am running debian again
