Keyboard Problems...

I just installed gentoo linux and when it finishes starting up the keyboard is locked up, I cant change num lock, caps, or anything else. Cant ctrl+alt+del, cant switch consoles.

I have looked at /etc/rc.conf

keymap is us
my keyboard is us,

keyboard:(this shouldent matter but ill show it anyway

)
standard PS/2 connector, DIGITAL rt2258tw

im at a loss. it may be a kernel config problem (i hope not

)

please help.

and yes its plugged in

im using it right now in winblows, and I have used this keyboard with linux (without one it would be kinda hard to install gentoo

)

Did you solve the problem?

I'm having this exact same issue with my PS/2 keyboard on an ASUS A7A266 mobo with Athlon XP.
(kernel 2.4.20)
