Well,
you can't image a mounted drive. so there's no point looking for imaging proggie that runs on gentoo if you want to image your gentoo / partition.
i have a cd rescue-utility i downloaded a while ago. it has all the network stuff, partimage and a lot more stuff.
no idea what it is called though, or where i got it from. a google search will find you some options.

As french tony suggested, you can use partimage. Their download page also includes images for floppy disks and and images for el-torito bootable cds.
The rescue cd mentioned by french tony is called rip - recovery is possible, and can be found here. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

You could always use the Gentoo install CD and tar+[NFS/SMB] your root filesystem over a network... _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |
