Hi,
I've got myself a SparcStation 20 at home (dual 75MHz, 2x9.1GB disks and 128MB RAM) that I am wanting to give Gentoo a try on... I don't know if I can use the sparc64 version of 2004.0? Is this ok? There don't seem to be any ISOs in the "sparc" directory on the download mirrors, only "sparc64" ISOs. Maybe someone who knows more about SPARC / hardware architecture can answer this one for me.
Thanks!
(Any other tips?) |

Didn't realize this until bad_ash came on IRC tonight and mentioned that their weren't any sparc32 ISOs available online. http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/releases/historical/sparc/1.4_rc5/livecd/sparc/ has the latest sparc32 livecd, and you can use this to make a system that would be the equivalent to the 2004.0 sparc32 livecd, if it existed. |
