|
|
Hello all:
Is there a list of patches that the 'gentoo-sources-2.4.19-r9' includes and the locations of them on-line. I'm really interested in reading up on some of the changes that have been applied to the vanilla-kernel.
I know for a fact now that the XFS 1.1 patches have made there way to 2.4.19, but the r9 version of gentoo-sources does not include that patch. Worst yet, the patch will not apply from SGI to the gentoo-sources kernel.
The easiest (that I've found) patches to the kernel seem to be pre-empt and xfs when it's vanilla. I'm curious to know about the zlib, grsecurity, and all of the other patches.
Does anyone have a list of all these patches and there respectible maintainers that they could post? I'd really appreciate all the info you guys can give me .
Thanks!

Apologies if you've seen it already and it didn't have what you wanted (or if this comment lied and it doesn't in fact exist), but according to the ebuild, there should be a file /usr/share/doc/lolo-sources-2.4.19-r9/patches.txt.gz that contains documentation on the patches. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Well, at least for me (having emerged both the crypto-sources and the gentoo-sources) ther is no file like this to be found at the given location...
But yes, I would be interested in a summary about the patches applied as well.
