|
|
I'm using kde 3.0.3 and trying to set the background for kdm. kdm starts fine and I can login, etc but I cannot set the background wallpaper nor colors. I get the default X "stripped" background. I'm using the control center in administrator mode (tried it from root as well), no go. I verified the settings in the kdmrc file and they look fine. Attached is the appropriate section from the /usr/kde/3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc file.
Anyone else have this problem? Solution?

I had same problem, I used Login Manager in KControl to modify kdm and it seems to mess your kdmrc config file (/usr/kde/3.1/share/config/kdm/kdmrc)
Here's what was wrong with it:
[X-:0-Greeter]
UseBackground=false
Changing it to true and backround showed up. _________________ Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends. |
