kdemultimedia 3.1 beta and PPC

I decided to try compiling KDE 3.1 beta on my G4. For the most part, things worked out alright. However, kdemultimedia keeps coming up with an error. here is the final part of what I get before compiling ceases:

Is this a ppc-related problem considering I had to modify the ebuilds to unmask all of the packages. Would I be better off posting this in the desktop forum?

it is in fact non working on ppc... it looks like it's trying to setup mmx options in that particular code. (mmx.lo)

Do you by chance has mmx in your USE variables? (if so you shouldn't).... if you don't you should file a bug against it in bugs.gentoo.org and post the same info's you posted here, as it should _not_ be trying to build mmx options on non intel architecture
