I have looked at other forums and it seems no one else has trouble.
I tried to emerge mplayerplug-in for the first time at the end of last
week when the ebuild became available for the first time (for ~ppc,
I don't know for ppc). This should be a straight update from version
1.20 to 2.40. The build fails with the following error:
Code: | g++ -shared -o mplayerplug-in.so plugin.o nsScriptablePeer.o npp_gate.o np_entry.o npn_gate.o plugin-support.o plugin-setup.o plugin-list.o plugin-ui.o plugin-threads.o strlcpy.o strlcat.o -lXpm -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L /var/tmp/portage/mplayerplug-in-2.40/work/gecko-sdk/xpcom/bin -lxpcomglue -L /var/tmp/portage/mplayerplug-in-2.40/work/gecko-sdk/nspr/bin -lnspr4 -L /var/tmp/portage/mplayerplug-in-2.40/work/gecko-sdk/nspr/bin -lplds4 -L /var/tmp/portage/mplayerplug-in-2.40/work/gecko-sdk/embedstring/bin/ -lembedstring -Wl,--export-dynamic -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lpangoxft-1.0 -lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0

I recently updated glibc and gcc to the latest "preversion" I guess I may have to rebuild some
package. My guess would be to rebuild mozilla (1.6-r1) but it fails saying I should report a bug, which I should do soon.
Any one else with that problem?

This morning after doing emerge sync, the mplayerplug-in
version 2.45 was available. It did emerge beautifully and
without any trouble. Since I am updating this machine
remotely from Australia (while it is in New Zealand) I
won't be abble to check that it actually works before April. |
