250megs of my hd space is being used by the proc dir. Also after the base compile and install with no X or KDE I have 700megs used. is this normal? Is it all just source? |

Don't worry about it. /proc is a virtual filesystem. I'm betting /proc/kcore is responsible for most of that, as it's an exposure of all of your system's RAM. It's not actually taking up any disk space at all. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
