I wasn't suggesting you do. I was pointing out the space wasted by this thread is miniscule to the amount of space wasted every day by people not searching - so if you're concern about wasted space it'd be more worthwhile to try and do something about that.

Well, how about a vituperative waste of space then? |

I don't think kihaji should be banned, and I don't think a thread like this is fair. What you just did, by creating this thread, is just what you claim to be against. I feel this thread is some kind of "dubble moral" by you ebrostig. Now I don't say I like kihaji, honestyly I think he is brat. He has posted far to many rude posts and attacking people. Therefor I think kihaji should get somekind of warning, from the mods ofcourse, and should be watched (dunno how that would be acomplished the easiest way). Kihaji needs to be re-schooled when it comes to forum guidelines and politness against other people.

I haven't got anything against Kihaji nor Erik. However, whichever side of the "line" you tend to find yourself standing, you can always choose to not feed the trolls if you don't like what they have to say.
I'm sure I've made it on a few people's hate list, ebrostig included.
You can ignore me, and I will just ignore you back! Works like a charm. _________________ Meh. |

Addressed everyone to reading this thread:
Funny , that I never find it necessary to use language that I wouldn't use on the phone with a customer in this forum. And If I'm reading a thread and someone just fires off an explitive and nothing more, I consider that a sign of weakness on their behalf.
As for Kihaji, what is up with you man?
EDIT:
I like Erik's new sig, I made sure I was logged in as a really low security user before executing it, just to make sure it wasn't rm -rf / . _________________ Inspiron 4100 & Sun UltraAXe

While I may not agree with everything that either Kihaji or Erik have said, I still enjoy both of them as contributers to the unique environment of these forums. Nobody should be banned and threads like this are leading nowhere fast, mods? _________________ Remove OTW |

LOL.
Dunno much about him, he seems to love to pick on someone. LOL.
I always try to think like this:

Dear Erik,
Kihaji is certainly unduly vituperative -- thank you for bringing his inappropriate behavior to the attention of the Gentoo community. We rely on level heads like yours to establish concord among the impassioned on these forums.
Regards,
Hypnos

mv kihjai /dev/null
Kihaji seems like a troll to me. He ruined my thread on pallidium. He wouldn't stop arguing. Personally I think he the type of inflexable person that can't accept a diffrent view.
So in short kihjai sucks! _________________ If God has made us in his image, we have returned him the favor. - Voltaire |

I have seen ebrostig throw around as many, if not more, personal attacks than I have kihaji.
Nice to know that dissenters are bastardized. |

I agree with that sentiment! You don't need to resort to words that could be called "unparliamentary" just to make your point. And you're easier to understand if you don't.
I don't mind some of the points that Kihaji or anyone else makes, even if I don't agree with them. But I do start minding when they start saying things like "Fucking nuts" or "asshat" or other things like that. That's just line noise, not argument, IMO. And it's hard to be reasonable if people go wild that way. |

And why, exactly, hasn't this thread been locked yet? Unbelievable...
Politically, I agree with ebrostig in most cases. But this is ridiculous, and to be honest rather infantile (not to mention extremely stupid).
You who complain about Kihaji: What about posting an example or two of bad behaviour on Kihaji's part? Because I think I got a quite different impression of him than you did...

I have an opinion here: all Gentoo people are nOOb's.
I love how these forums give people higher ratings based on postings. Just because you post 500 times doesn't make you a "guru". This becomes obvious when you all compile your desktop from source, but don't even understand the basic concepts such as:
1) bootstraping
2) optimization (no, not what you are thinking, because you are stupid)
3) toolchain stability
4) contributions to open source in general
many more, but why list them
Check out this thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=123860&highlight=icc
It is a coincidence that Kihaji replied to that thread, which is not my point. Look at the first thread and tell me what is wrong with what that guy is doing. If you can't tell immediately, then you are not smart, and I question your use of Gentoo.
Within the Linux realm, Gentoo is at the bottom, with a reputation of fools who think the kernel is broken when you can't get it to boot a hacked up version of the kernel sources.
IMHO, Gentoo does a disservice to the community, and you should be ashamed and embarrassed in this small community that fails with projects such as this.[/url] |
