I am looking for a program that works from the command line,
just to grab a picture from my webcam in order to test it.
Kernel Messages look good so far, but I would like to see it work.

I searched but I haven't found anything yet that I can emerge ...
Something where I can just tell the cam to make one pic and store it locally., nothing too complicated.
thanks in advance. |

Hi,
Don't know which are in the portage tree, but these are some webcam-programs :
- QAstrocam : nice qt application, geared towards astronomy but useful for other applications too
- xawtv : yes, this should work to give a moving image |
