Natural-Selecton 3.0 installation with winex & 'hl.exe'

WineX 3.3 will not install the Natural-Selection v 3.0 beta because of memory issues, but Wine 20040213 will run the installation perfectly. If you try and run the installation without the instructions provided NS_install will display an error message indicating there is no third party mod support for half-life.

Circumventing the problem is simple: overwrite the wine config and .reg files with identically named files from winex in the .transgaming folder of the user account in which Steam was installed. Wine should then recognize (by reading the registry files) that Steam is indeed installed and proceed flawlessly; this should also work for the patches of which I have tested up to Beta 3.

Note: if you are getting the error: game is unavailable; and the errorlogs say "Failed to execute launch option 'hl.exe'. "
You must run Steam as so: > winex3 drive:\\install\ path\\steam\\steam.exe
The desktop shortcut winex creates will not work propery.
