Laptop Recommendations

I'm interested in getting a laptop to run Gentoo on. I'm new to Linux, and I would like to know what the best model out there is that supports Gentoo and wifi. Anybody know of any?

But from just reading what's posted around here, apparently IBMs are really good. Also, IIRC, any Centrino should work now for wireless since Intel released Linux wireless drivers. Just remember to get an nVidia video card no matter what.

Though, if you really want to make sure Linux will work on your laptop, I just found this: http://www.linuxcertified.com/linux_laptops.html
Who knows how good they are though.

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone have any specific recommendations that are recent laptops and have had good experiences with?

those linux laptops are really nice
and they have recieved very good reviews.

i have a toshiba tecra m2 running gentoo. everything seems to be working okay.
it was an adventure. i'm not sure I would recommend it.
