rhythmbox and alsa error

hi, i succesfully emerged rhythmbox and everything works fine until I actually play a mp3 file. It sounds just fine for a couple of seconds and then rhythmbox hangs printing on the console:

other players (xmms) work fine and gst-launch-ext works ok too....
it also says:

Rhythmbox-Message: warning: this version of gmix was compiled with a different version of soundcard.h

when starting....
