Code:

.deps/libQFjs_la-joy.TPlo  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libQFjs_la-joy.lo
cc1: changing search order for system directory "/usr/include"
cc1:   as it has already been specified as a non-system directory
make[3]: *** [libQFjs_la-joy.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/quakeforge-0.5.0/work/quakeforge/libs/video/targets'

Does somebody know how to solve this problem? The changed search order shouldn't be it.
$ gcc -v
gcc version 3.2

Thank you for your help,
after I read the topics mentioned above I've compiled quakeforge without problems.
But I'd to disable many flags (not only xmms and ogg-vorbis as wilho said in this topic) to get it run.
Which flags I disabled I forgot because I modified my make.conf after it and now I can't remember.

i got it to work by editing my /etc/make.conf file and unsetting most of the USE flags in the ebuild for quakeforge.
It's got no sound and doesn't run fullscreen tho.

I just emerged quakeforge and have no problems other than I have no idea what servers are out there.
My USE looks like this:

Code:
USE="mmx 3dnow pda cups slp gphoto2 X opengl xv dga gnome gtk gtk2 bonobo evo gb gtkhtml motif tcltk aalib imlib ncurses readline sdl svga lcms gif jpeg png tiff gd avi mpeg quicktime alsa ggi dvd xmms oggvoribs flash encode snmp ggz pam ssl crypt socks5 imap ldap tcpd xface mozilla spell truetype xml xml2 pdflib plotutils tetex java perl python ruby slang libwww libg++ atlas mysql -postgres samba gpm"

I am running AMD 1600+ and GeForce3 card, and I can go full screen.

I am not sure if sounds work, I tried the alsa driver, but cause I don't own quake I cant really paly 1 player.

Maybe those use vars help you?

Andrew

ive created a fix and tested it out on gcc3.2 ... can you try it for me ?

http://gentoo.wh0rd.ca/quakeforge/quakeforge-0.5.0_pre001503092002.ebuild

if that link doesnt work, then goto http://gentoo.wh0rd.ca/quakeforge/ and just grab the latest ebuild

post your results so that i can get this into the official portage tree :)

OK folks -- this is the new quakeforge support thread. Rather than clog up the entire gamers forum with posts about the same issue, we're going to consolidate them in this thread.

After a failed compile using the regular ebuild, I downloaded yours, and deleted the old one.

Now it worked perfectly!! :D

(using gcc 3.2)

Confirmed - work's like a charm (once I figured out how to get sound!).
