I set up KDE 3 successfully for the root user, and then proceeded to add another user.
When I attempted to start KDE under this new user, I get error messages about being unable to communicate with DCOP server on localhost. It appears there is something I haven't set correctly. What could it be? |

The solution ended up being, creating the home directory and ensuring that the user owns it.
mkdir /home/newusername
chown newusername /home/newusername |
