Hi I did everything wrote here (https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=83793) but everytime I create a /etc/devfs.d/joystick file with anything inside(I tried both suggestions), the system doesn't boot...

this is my dmesg:

Quote:

usb.c: registered new driver hid
hid-core.c: v1.8.1 Andreas Gal, Vojtech Pavlik <vojtech@suse.cz>
hid-core.c: USB HID support drivers
hub.c: new USB device 00:11.2-1, assigned address 2
usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0xb43/0x3) is not claimed by any active driver.

and when I plug it in...

I use a 2.4 kernel and had problems with the USB DDR mats, however I've fixed them.

I have a EMS II USB adapter. The main problem seems to be that the switch reverts to "game" instead of "pc" fairly often, especially when stored for any period of time. I compiled joystick and usb support into the kernel, and made the devices by hand with mknod as in the other posts.

If the switch doesn't work, or you use a different adapter, please post your USB kernel config here.

Hope this helps!

me too, it's the model with the red led.
I tried with 2.4.25-rc1, but seems the same.
