Flash audio plays faster than everything else. Mp3's oggs, wav's, cd's, etc. have no problems. It makes Joe Cartoon's gerbils sound like they've been sucking on even more helium than usual. It's fast enough that it's hard to follow.
Anybody seen a problem like this and can offer a pointer?

Perhaps try disabling artsd. You're probably watching this with konqueror, there should be an option there (in Konqueror) if you want artsd to play the sound for plugins (like Flash). Disable that. If it doesn't work, disable artsd as well, restart KDE, and try again.
Not sure if it will work, but it should be worth trying, disabling arts has saved me a lot of trouble lately. |

Bingo! Thanks for the sugestion
Actually I'm using Galeon, but stopping artsd did make it play at the normal
speed. Now I've got to figure out how to get artsd to not start automatically with KDE. |
