|
|
Hello,
I'm having some printer problems with my LaserJet. Whenever I want to print something I'm getting a HUGE lag between every page (like a minute or two) Also, printing a testpage gives an error message on my printer: not enough memory. But I have like 8 megs of printer memory, so I'm guessing Linux is overloading my printer with pools of data...
I've followed the instructions on the http://www.linuxprinting.org and I'm using their recommended lj5gray+foomatic driver.
Did I miss some tweaks? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Your not alone. I'm printing to a IBM4019 and to print 3 pages of text it takes about 4 minutes. Thats INSANE! The IBM4019 is a 5 page per minute printer. |

smb passwd file = /etc/samba/private/smbpasswd
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
socket options = IPTOS_LOWDELAY TCP_NODELAY <-------- did you try this?
domain master = Yes
local master = Yes
preferred master = Yes
os level = 65
dns proxy = No
name resolve order = lmhosts host bcast
bind interfaces only = True
interfaces = eth0
hosts deny = ALL
hosts allow = 192.168.1.4 127.0.0.1 (list of allow hosts here)
debug level = 1
create mask = 0644
directory mask = 0755
level2 oplocks = True
read raw = no
