Where is lndir?

It's in the xutils package on Debian, but I can't seem to find it in Gentoo...

...which brings me to another question: is there a way to search for files within packages?

bah, nevermind.. just wasn't in my path as root.

ok, but the latter question still stands.. how can i find what package owns a given file?

Look in /var/db/pkg/{package class}/{package name}/CONTENTS
