If anybody was thinking about unmasking it and giving it a spin: the xfs patch has either not been added yet, or has been removed gentoo-sources tree altogether....I was rather bummed to discover this little tidbit....

The old XFS patch again..
This patch seems to give the developers quite a bit of headaches. If I
remember right there are issues with XFS, Low Lat and Preemt patch
combination.
I'm sure they'll get over it though, as they have before with 2.4.18.
