|
|
Hi everybody!
In the german Linux-Magazin there was an article about Gentoo.
It had screenshots of two interesting tools:
generate_use - a use flag generator
genview - a package browser
I searched portage and Freshmeat.
Can anyone tell me where these tools can be found?
Thanks,

Paidhi,
I would suggest contacting the author of the article in Linux-Magazin. Then, please post a reply to this forum. I also searched for these tools after seeing this post, but I can't find anything. _________________ "Two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity. OK, I was able to find some information:
Genview is writen by foser@sesmar.eu.org. It can be downloaded from http://www.sesmar.eu.org/genview.tar.bz2. He doesn't have an ebuild yet but if you let him know and there is enough interest he will make one.
generate-use is written by bob@endlessrecursion.net. I am not sure where you can download it. I will email e-mail the author and request an ebuild. You can do the same.
Both apps are written in Python. _________________ "Two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity. And I am not sure about the universe." |

Hi,
thanks a lot for your help.
http://www.sesmar.eu.org seems to be unavailable.
I've meanwhile contacted the authors, too.
Best regards,

I was contacted by both the authors.
The tools are under development.
More about Genview is in Bug #2846 at
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2846
