While trying to bootstrap my system, (scripts/bootstrap.sh) I get a dependencie error...
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">sys-apps/portage-2.0.49-r15" have been masked.
I have tried a few misc. things I saw from other posts that said to try emerge --sync again, but that didn't help. I am really not sure where to go from here.
I also have a small CFLAGS question, the example make.conf says not to use pentium4 for the -march flag; does putting i686 there make much of a difference? |

| i686 is much more stable as a -march than either the pentium3 or pentium4. try that one out, and try posting the relavant parts from your make.conf file for us to check out. USE, ACCEPT_KEYWORDS, MAKEOPTS, that type |
