Not running as root implied the GLX problem...
Fixed that with adding the following to XF86Config:
Code: | Section "Module"
Load "glx"
Load "dri"
EndSection
Section "DRI"
Group "users"
Mode 0666
EndSection |
Only thing that remains now is sound in tuxracer.
I did unmerge all alsa, and compiled sound in kernel instead (emu10k1). Then I remerged arts. Now mixer works in kde, but no wound in tuxracer... |

As for my foray into alsa, I found that making my soundcard a module, and then having alsa load it worked the best. I use a SoundBlasterPCI and has ens1371 module I think.
Tuxracer works nicely with sound and alsa .9 with my soundcard as a module.
