KOnCD works fine here, but i common to use kreatecd, it has more features creating data cds...
Lately I read an article about 'k3b' it seems to be a nice kde-frontend for cdrecord, but I've not tried it yet. |

I tried it once, I think it was ok. Unfortunately, i dont think its been ported to kde3 yet. So, i dont use it anymore. cdbakeoven is nice, i like the ui. However, its not without errors still...
Actually, I havent found _the_ package yet!
What do you use? koncd or something else?
Anton. |

well i have been using xcdroast and its pretty good...i havent found too much that it cant do , but i ma not like a burn happy fool either....arson seemed pretty nice but i wasnt having any luck with getting it to read from the cddb or getting it to see the scsi bus...but i am gonna keep working on it....it seemed pretty all inclusive and it ripped and encoded a cd much faster then grip. |

ok, I've tested k3b, so far it seems very useable and I had no problems, but it is still not feature complete. This means that cd-image burning and a few other things don't work within the gui.
For now k3b supports cddb and the other usual audio and data cd stuff, but it seems they are working on vcd support with video/dvd converting, but this features don't seem to work right now...
By now I'm looking forward on KOnCD and k3b, maybe the stable 1.0 versions will bring complete cd-burning support for kde (like 'Nero' does under Windoze)... |

nero is probably the only thing i miss about windows....i really liked that software adn how when you had a copy you could always update to the latest version with no hassle....i just built a system for someone and i put a lite-on 40x cdrw and it came with nero and it was only 63 bucks retail. |
