Check UFO2000: http://ufo2000.sourceforge.net
It is multiplayer tactical squad based strategy, remake of tactical part of X-COM: UFO Defense |

got it to work. the gcc command line used -I/usr/X11/include. My system didn't have /usr/X11 only /usr/X11R6. I added the symlink. Is this a bug in the ebuild? Should I file it (kinda new to gentoo)? _________________ J-P |

Enemy Territory and Americas Army are free. There are a few open source ones too like Cube but I haven't tried them myself. |

I have discovered a lot of very good simple games, listed in no particular order:
Airstrike
Monster Masher
Frozen Bubble
They are very fun to play two players on a laptop in a train or somewhere else just to kill time. Also a lot of people tend to think they are fun, not just gamer-lamers It's a good way to introduce people to Linux and Gentoo. |

Almost forgot Lbreakout, it also definetly belongs to that list.
Ebuild for monster masher is now in bugs.gentoo.org if you want to try it out. |
