Hi,

I'm trying to emerge the last cvs version of kde but i'm getting a problem when it attempts to run "configure" for kdepim.

I have emerged a full cvs kde version a few days ago in the same box, i'm not sure how i can fix this problem.

I'll post the output error code when i get home.

suggestions?

It reads:

Code:
configure: configuring in libical
configure: running /bin/sh admin/configure ... yadda yadda
admin/configure: admin/configure: No such file or directory
configure: error /bin/sh admin/configure failed for libical

and then emerge aborts

check to make sure that the file is there. could you also include a little more of the error. i excpect you are receiving other errors before the one above. in many cases, the configure file gets made by the install script.

1- no, the file is not there... also no idea where/how to get it/create it.
2- there were no other errors before what i wrote...kde-pim cvs ebuild starts just like all other kde cvs ebuild until it gets there...after the code it just said the emerge failed and aborts

what versions of automake and autoconf are you using? make sure you have the latest copies.
also check your /var/tmp/portage/kdepim-5/temp/eclass-debug.log for any problems.

Yeah I have the latest copy of that stuff, I checked the list of dependencies in KDE's page... I like to be in the "bleeding-edge" like they say...anyway cvs-kde seems far too buggy for me, i think i'll just keep 3.02 for now... thanks anyway!!!
