|
|
Hi,
An emerge clean wiped out an older kernel source - linux-2.4.19-gentoo-r5 - which I really need, as this is the kernel I use. Don't ask me why, but this is the only kernel that allows me to use my Philips USB webcam properly, linux-2.4.19-gentoo-r7 doesn't do it. I don't actually need to recompile the kernel, but I feel really paranoid not being able to in case I need to or just want to fiddle and break something.
Over to you. |

Assuming your portage tree looks like my portage tree, Code: | # emerge /usr/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/gentoo-sources-2.4.19-r5.ebuild |

Many thanks, that did the trick - will I need to do this again if I emerge clean again? |
